Auditorium Door Replacement RFP
The Ambrose Recreation and Park District is soliciting a request for proposal (RFP) for Auditorium Door Replacement.
Mandatory pre-bid site visit: October 18, 2018 at 11:00am
Question due date: October 26, 2018
Proposal due date: November 2, 2018
Selection will be made by November 9, 2018.

Come join the fun for an exclusive six weeks of Latin and swing partner dancing!
This very unique program offers cumbia, bachata and swing social dancing.
In this class you will learn the basics of dance moves, how to start and stay with the music
as well as how to dance with a partner comfortably in a social setting!
You do NOT need dancing experience! You do NOT need a partner!

Grand Re-Opening of the Gloria "Glo" Magleby Community Garden
On March 17, 2018 the Ambrose Recreation and Parks District in partnership with Contra Costa County and community volunteers celebrated the Grand Re-Opening of the Gloria “Glo” Magleby Community Garden located at 3105 Willow Pass Road. The garden is designed to increase a sense of community ownership and stewardship, foster the development of a community identity and spirit, bring people together from a wide variety of backgrounds, and build community leaders. Community members are welcomed to be members of the community garden by calling the District at 925-458-1601.
Attending the Grand Re-Opening were Ryan Brown representing Congressman Mark DeSaulnier; George Escutia representing Senator Steve Glazer; Michael Sponsler representing Assemblymember Tim Grayson; Vincent Manuel representing Supervisor Federal Glover; and Ambrose Board Members Trina Hudson, Mae Torlakson, and Eva Garcia.
The Ambrose Recreation and Park District is always seeking volunteers to help with special events, park clean-ups, and community center activities. Here is your chance to give back to your community while having fun meeting new friends.
Volunteer applications are available at the District Administrative Offices, at 3105 Willow Pass Road, Monday-Friday 9 am -5 pm.
Volunteers will be placed by their area of interest, by availability, and program times. For more information please call 458-1601
SPECIAL REQUEST: We are looking for a gym attendant who is willing to volunteer their time on Mondays/Wednesday/Fridays from 5:00-9:00pm.
This is an unpaid position but upon volunteering you and a family member will receive free membership as well as other discounts to other programs at the Community Center.
